Ancient Artist Statement

This symmetrical piece was inspired by my love for geometric and ornate carvings and details I observed on fictitious and real archaeological finds during adolescence. Having an affinity towards the charming craftsmanship of artisans from yesteryear, alluding to this approach was one of the wanted to pay homage while discovering my style and voice. Those details were always evidence of the admirable ethic I wanted to be surrounded by in creativity and their beautiful interpretations of how to finish works reminded me that the possibilities for personality in your work are boundless
